The Sportcast USA Southeast Open and Southeast States Casting Championships will be held on Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29, 2007 in Shalotte, NC (near Myrlte Beach, SC). Practice day is Friday April 27, 2007.

Tommy Farmer of Carolina Cast Pro (http://www.carolinacastpro.com/) will provide a FREE casting seminar. This one time event will be held on the practice day. ANYFISH ANYWHERE (http://www.anyfishanywhereusa.com/) will have a complete line of their fishing rods on hand to test drive.

AFAW

ANYFISH ANYWHERE is donating the following prizes:

One 11 foot Estuary built rod. Grand prize.

Several high quality AFAW rain suits.

Three bait boxes or coolers, go to the website and check these out. Good idea for keeping bait separate and cold.

Three Match organizers.

Several small items.

A drawing for the prizes will be held on Saturday after casting so everyone who registers and casts on Saturday has a chance to win a prize.

We will be casting the 100 grams, 125 grams, 150 grams, and 6 ounces weights. Every caster now has the choice of casting any or all weights on either or both days.

The line requirements are: 0.28 mm minimum diameter for the 100 and 125 gram weights and 0.31 mm minimum diameter for the 150 and 6 ounce weights. The shock leader must be a minimum diameter of 0.75 mm for all weights. All line and shock leader must be made of high visibility monofilament. Shock leader will be available at the tournament for those who need it.

The field is located 6329 Old Shallotte Rd NW Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469. For directions use mapquest.com.

For hotel accommodations contact the Sleep Inn at Harbour View, 909 Highway 17 North, Little River, South Carolina 29566, Toll-Free 1-877-45-SLEEP, Locally 843-249-4848 and ask for the Sportcast USA rate, $71.95 per day.

Lunch will be available on Saturday.

We will start setting up the court at 7 A.M. and we can use all the help that we can get. Casting starts around 9 A.M. so try to arrive early to get registered and help set up the field. The sooner we set up the field the sooner we start casting.

Good luck and good casting to all.
